What is auto recharge?
Auto Recharge is an optional billing feature that automatically tops up your credit balance when it drops below a threshold you set.
This ensures you never run out of credits while tasks are running without interruption.
How to enable Auto Recharge
- Go to Account Settings → Payment & Billing → Billing
- On the Available balance card, you'll see the Auto recharge toggle
- Click the toggle to open the Auto Recharge settings
- Check "Would you like to enable auto recharge?"
- Configure your settings:
- When credit balance goes below — Set your threshold (between $50 and $200). When your balance drops below this amount, Auto Recharge kicks in.
- Purchase this plan — Choose which credit pack to buy automatically when triggered:
Pack | Amount |
|---|---|
Starter | $200 |
Booster | $500 |
Scaler | $1,000 |
Dominator | $2,000 |
- Add or confirm your payment method (required for Auto Recharge to work)
- Click Save settings
When is Auto Recharge useful?
Auto Recharge is especially helpful if:
- You're using the CrowdReply API to create tasks programmatically
- You're running automated or high-volume engagement campaigns
- You want to avoid task failures due to insufficient balance
- You have ongoing upvote orders or scheduled tasks that need credits to continue
With Auto Recharge enabled, your workflows continue uninterrupted.
How is Auto Recharge different from the subscription plan?
Subscription plan:
- Adds credits every month automatically (e.g., $50 on Starter, $200 on Growth)
- Credits roll over and never expire
- Required to use the platform
Auto Recharge:
- Only triggers when your balance falls below your set threshold
- Buys additional credits on demand from the credit packs above
- No fixed schedule — purely balance-based
- Completely optional
You can use both together for a fully hands-off setup: your subscription adds monthly credits, and Auto Recharge prevents your balance from hitting zero between top-ups.
